Michael Leo Garvin "Mickey"'s Obituary
GARVIN, Michael Leo “Mickey” 92, of Tampa, passed away from natural causes on May 30, 2016. He was a proud Irish New Yorker, born in Manhattan to the late Charles and Susan Garvin. Michael served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a Letter Carrier from Branch 599. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Garvin and sister Josephine Schutty. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter Susan Garvin St John (Kenneth), son Michael W. Garvin (Danny Moon), their mother Helen “Pat” Garvin who was Michael’s caregiver for the past 8 years, grandson Jeffrey M. St John, siblings: Eileen Murrin, Susanne McGovern, Marjorie Egan, Thomas Garvin, and Patricia Creegan, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted with military honors at Florida National Cemetery at 2 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2016.
