My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I found this notice only recently and was deeply saddened. I have very fond memories of Melissa, which go back to the years she (1982-84) and I (1981-1985) attended the International School Bangkok (ISB). May she rest in peace.

In July 1983, I was new at the embassy in Bangkok, Thailand and was introduced to Melissa and a few other teens that stayed in Bangkok for the summer. Melissa was a friend for the year I was there in Bangkok and at ISB. While I have not seen her since the summer of 1984, I was saddened to learn of her passing recently. Rest in peace.

Such a Beautiful Spirit, FUN, Crazy, Loving and Passionate about her boys, her job her friends her life... Positive about Anything she took on.
We worked long nights thru each challenge there was not one situation that she could not handle. Sharing so much,
we were more like family than friends or co workers. The Pleasure and i do say Honor to watch the boys grow up to be Awesome Young Men. We had long phone calls keepin her awake when she drove to Miami and back to Miami after just finishing and delivering a proposal with minutes to spare. Her drive and dedication to her boys, her job, just life in general, was extreme!
Always planning for that next event. She even went campin at Stone Mountain... That is love she was miserable with no AC.
Birthdays were always fun, hers mine and our VP Fred who we worked with very closely.
One year she made me a cheese cake.
It was a 1 inch by 1 inch block of cheese with a candle. Kept it on my desk til i had to toss it.
We had such fun one year Fred was Sick. She said i do not think he wants to celebrate.
I took the soup i kept at work (chicken Noodle) 4 cans wrapped in white paper. Put one on top like a candle and we took it to him. She sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY VICE PRESIDENT. (Like Marilyn Monroe) LOL
We had pretzel hour at 3:30 all the engineers came to our area and we would laugh she was such a live wire.
I had an Art Show in Saftey Harbor, she and the boys showed up right at the end of it helped break down the tent. Christopher was Awesome... said Trish that Art Pops! She had the boys in Baseball Camp took them to the theme parks was always pickin up stray kids in the neighbourhood.
I would ask do you have the boys? She would Say Oh No they live behind me they just wanna help decorate for Christmas or walk the dogs.
Always tryin to help someone. We had a kid who did building maintenance, he had trouble gettin to work on time. Said he had car trouble 400 to fix... She reach in her purse handed him 400 dollars. (Did not ask to be paid back) She cared about everyone and had detective skills. It was so funny she would just ASK the uncomfortable question.
She had a away, i think she should have been a detective.
We were both sick and after a LONG DAY...
i came home went to bed.

She told me gotta print 15 copies of the power point.
I jumped up got dressed got to the car... Phone rings...

We used to laugh about that...
Went to her house to work a few times, she had a beautiful home. The boys had there rooms and she would find someone who needed a place and rent them a room. She cared about them. Even included them even in her family holiday dinners... Like i said Always pickin up strays...
A friends nephew loved her he called her Miss he just loved her!
We had kept close even after i lost my job with CME due to Gov Contracts being pulled...
She had me do photography or illustrations freelance. We would work from our homes many many hours... Then manage to get a proof to Fred. Kind of impressive how we were able to read each other.
Talked to her just a few days before she passed. Asked her to get back to her doc and she said she would. She was just to Young and Vibrant to be GONE. Really do Miss You...
There will always be an empty place in my heart.
I met Melissa when she was 16 years old and I watched her grow into a beautiful woman and loving mother. She was one of the kindest most generous people I've ever known. She welcomed wayward souls into her home and gave them a soft place to land with no expectation of repayment. Her smile and sense of humor made everything better. I remember sitting around the dinner table for hours laughing at her stories. She was just as beautiful inside as she was on the outside.
