Mary H. Puleo's Obituary
Mary H. Puleo, 81, of Tampa passed away on January 20, 2026, after a long battle with Dementia. She was born on February 10, 1944, in Tampa, Florida to the late Tony Gonzalez and Estella (Morales) Gonzalez. Mary was the loving wife of the late Sam Puleo, Sr. She was the center of her family and gave endlessly. Mary always put her family first and asked very little in return. Mary loved to cook. She cooked the way she lived-generously, thoughtfully, and with joy for her family and friends. She was very creative and used her creativity to make ceramics and floral arrangements. Her ceramic pieces reflected her patience, creativity, and quiet strength. Each piece carried a part of her spirit, a tangible reminder of the love and care she put into everything she touched.
She is survived by her sons, Sam Puleo, Jr. (Ann Marie), David Puleo (Erin), and John A. Puleo (Dwayne); her grandchildren, Sam Puleo III (Lisa), Elena Liccini, and Lauren Puleo. In addition to her late husband, Sam Puleo, Sr. she is predeceased by her grandson, Roman Edward Puleo.
Services will be held on Sunday, February 1st at 1:00 PM at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Ave., Tampa. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Tampa.
