Mary Anne Deborah Powers' Obituary
Mary Anne Powers, 76, of Tampa passed away Friday, September 13, 2019. She was born on September 2, 1943 to the late Stephen and Caroline Kronk in Amsterdam, New York.
Mary Anne always saw the good in people and was always genuinely happy for their personal and professional successes. She was kind and generous and if you were her friend you were her family. She was always there for you unless you happened to call while a Michael Buble’ special was being televised. She was a big animal lover and was especially fond of frogs and squirrels which she collected, and she would often be found planting flowers around her home. Mary Anne was a loving and giving single mother of three and was known to personally sacrifice and work a full-time and two part-time jobs simultaneously to provide the best for her children. She held several bookkeeper/payroll positions over the years most notably at Moffitt Cancer Center and Coca Cola Beverages. For the past six years, Mary Anne has worked as the assistant office manager at Mental Health Resource Center.
She is survived by her children, Bruce Powers, Stephen Powers, and Rebecca Kelly; special friends Kerry DeMark and Sandy Nicora; and her beloved and faithful dog, Austin.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Saturday, September 21 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home. A service will be held at 3 PM at the Funeral Home with Burial to follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Tampa.
