Marta Rodriguez's Obituary
Marta Rodriguez, 85, of Tampa passed away in her sleep at home on Monday, April 1st, 2019 in Tampa,Florida. Born October 15, 1933, she was the daughter of Aristides and Alicia Diaz.
Marta was of catholic faith and attended OLPH catholic church. She enjoyed cooking and reading about healthy foods, staying up late and eating snacks while watching forensic files with her great
granddaughter Nina, playing characters with her great granddaughter Lola, and talking about the news and weather with her grandson Mitchell and granddaughter Alicia. She worked for over 20 years at Hallmark emblems doing embroidery work and missed her job dearly. Marta will be remembered as a strong woman who loved her family dearly and always put her family first.
She is survived by her daughter Marta Reams, her two sons Pablo and David Colon, her son-in-law Chris Reams, her grandchildren Alicia Flasher and husband Jonathan Flasher, Mitchell Reams, and Daniel Colon, and her two great granddaughters Nina and Lola Flasher.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Ramon Rodriguez.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Marta Rodriguez request donations to be made to The Humane Society of Tampa Bay 3607 N. Armenia Ave. Tampa, FL 33607, and Metropolitan Ministries 2002 N. Florida Ave. Tampa, FL 33602.
The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Boza and Roel Funeral Home; 4730 N. Armenia Avenue. Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at Pyramid Crypts; 3412 N Ola Ave, Tampa, FL 33603.
