Mark Gerard Yanez's Obituary
Mark Gerard Yanez, 72, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on April 25, 2026. Mark will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
Mark was born June 29, 1953, in Tampa, Florida, to Marcelino and Edna (Rubio) Yanez.
Mark attended Tampa Catholic High School, Class of 1971, and Hillsborough Community College, Associate of Arts Degree.
Mark was hard-working and enjoyed his much-deserved retirement. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church, served as a Eucharistic Minister and often volunteered.
Mark was predeceased by his parents Marcelino and Edna Yanez. Mark is survived by his sister Arlene (Daniel) Hevia; sister Nancy Walker; niece Amanda Hevia; niece Stacy Wilson; and grandnieces and grandnephews Madison Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Daniel P. Hevia, Sydney Hevia-Braswell, and Brady Hevia-Braswell.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2026, 3:00pm-5:00pm, Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa, FL 33603.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026, 10:00am-11:00am, St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33618. Graveside service and interment immediately following Mass at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
