Marisol Espinar's Obituary
Marisol Espinar was born Marisol Piñero Rodriguez in the provincial capital of Pinar del Rio, Cuba. The daughter of a divorced mother with limited means, she was raised by her father Erasmo Piñero and his stepmother Liduvina Piñero with all the love and care they could muster. She was joined briefly by her brother Antonio Piñero, and later by the newborn stepbrother Erasmo. In the early 1960s communist Cuba, it was a difficult proposition to raise three children compounded by an ever-increasing difficult political situation, which eventually forced the Piñero family to emigrate to Madrid, Spain and start a new life.
In Spain, Marisol met her future husband Jose Espinar, and had a son whom they named Jose Luis Espinar. After living in Madrid for three years, the family emigrated to the United States as was their intended desire, and settled in Tampa, Florida. Marisol remained behind, but soon joined them in Tampa with her toddler Jose Luis. Raising Jose Luis as a single mother was not easy; but her parents lovingly helped her get back on her feet. She took some trade courses, worked in many local industries, and lived a simple life with few luxuries. She loved her two Chihuahuas and enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Marisol was a resident of Tampa for most of her life until her untimely death due to complications resulting from a fall, and her worsening diabetes. She passed away peacefully at the Mease Countryside Hospital in Pinellas County, and her ashes will be joined with her loving parents in an inurnment ceremony to take place at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, in East Tampa, on July 20th, 2024. She is survived by her son Jose Luis Espinar, her brother Antonio Piñero, stepbrother Erasmo Piñero Jr., her nephews Luis Adrian and Leonardo, and her longtime companion Leonardo León. May the Lord bless her in the company of Saints for all eternity as her family awaits the glorious coming of the Lord.
