Mr. Mario Rene Encinosa Sr.'s Obituary
Mario Ren' Encinosa, Sr. passed away on March 6, 2008 at the age of 76. Mario was born on December 12, 1931 in Bejucal, Cuba. He was a Korean War veteran, a member of West Tampa Little League and the Toy Train Association of America. He and his wife, Rosanna, ran the Christmas House on Hulsey Road for ten years, giving joy to thousands of children who visited. Mario was employed as a cabinet maker by the HIllsborough County school system, owned and operated B&B Cabinets, and later opened Town and Country Cafe, serving great Cuban food to everyone who walked through the door. He spent the last several years of his life delivering papers for the Tampa Tribune, a job he enjoyed immensely.
Mario is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Rosanna Encinosa of Tampa, a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Mario Encinosa, Jr. and Heather Encinosa of Tallahassee, a nephew who was a son to him, Stacey Neff of Tampa, a mother-in-law, Augustina Castellano of Tampa, a sister-in-law, Vivian Neff of Tampa, two granddaughters, Sydney Shu Hua and Claire Yi Shan both of Tallahassee, who he spoiled with M&Ms and taught to make funny faces, and finally by the many friends who have let his family know during the difficult days after his passing how much he was loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Gainesville, Florida, as thanks for all the help and support they provided when Sydney Shu Hua was undergoing heart surgery at Shands Hospital.
