Marilyn Parinello's Obituary
Parinello, Marilyn, age 97, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024. She had a long and happy life and always had a song on her lips and a dance in her step. She will always be remembered with love and admiration. Marilyn was born on July 2, 1926 in Stamford, Connecticut. She married her high school sweetheart Paul Parinello in 1947, after he returned from serving in the army in World War 2. They moved to Tampa at that time and were married 72 years. Marilyn was a housewife while her children were growing up and taught tap dance out of her home until her children were in high school. At that time she went to work at USF in the accounting department where she worked for 24 years. After she retired, she joined a line dance group called The Happy Hoofers, and performed with them for many years doing shows and entertaining at nursing homes. Marilyn also participated in the Tampa Bay Senior Games, where she took home the trophy for Outstanding Female Athlete for her age group for seven years in a row. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary Petrone and had 2 brothers Tommy and Ralph. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Fiorello & husband,Tony, son, Paul Parinello & wife, Diane, grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Jaclyn & Paul and great-grandchildren Rylee, Tyler, Kayla, Lana, Carson, Reagan, Peyton & Jordyn. Visitation will be held at Boza & Roel Funeral Home at 4730 N. Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33603 Wednesday,
March 20, 2024 at 1:30 pm with services to follow at 2 pm. Burial
will follow at 3 pm at Garden of Memories 4207 E. Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
