Maria Elena Tudela's Obituary
Maria Elena Tudela, age 74, passed away at St Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, on Thursday February 6, 2025.
Maria is survived by her sister, Marta, nephew Ruben, his wife Nubia and his son Kieran Eduardo, Guadalupe Bautista and her family: daughters, Justine (Greg) Birmingham, Melissa Bautista; sons Augustine (Simone) Bautista and daughter Sophia, and Jose (Diana) Bautista and their sons, Samuel and Daniel. And all her beloved family from Key West to Texas. She is preceded by her parents, Candido and Anisia Tudela.
Maria was born in Cuba on 01/15/1951, raised in Key West and lived her life in Tampa. She dedicated her life to teaching and working in the education field. She started her education career as a teacher at Turkey Creek Elementary School, became an assistant principal at Armwood High School, a principal at Youth Services and Booker T Washington School, and an administrator at Tampa Bay Technical High School. She was an adjunct professor at the University of Tampa and retired as Director of Adult Education in Hillsborough County.
Maria enjoyed reading James Patterson novels and other mysteries. She found great pleasure in spending time with family and friends and being a loving dog mom.
