Roberto Alonso
Mery: I am Robertico, your cousin and brother, because we grew up together for people who don't know me; but with that name that you always called me: I want to say something about you after so many years and that comes from my heart; I can say that you were and will be the most adorable and loving person. The people who knew you and remember you will agree with me, you always had a smile and a loving treatment, that was your way of being and people perceived your personality that everything was spontaneous and without hypocrisy; That was my cousin Mery.
When we were children, although you were a few years older than me, not many; but you always took care of me with that sweet love that was never lost and that lasted forever; When you got married and had to leave the country, our family bond never disappeared; years later when I had the opportunity to see each other in person; For us, time had not passed, all the love we always had for each other was present there, and with more intensity; And of course we added my wife Raquel, who quickly became a loving friend and who became an inseparable part of the family. Also for me it was a very good meeting to see Angel again; a good person and friend. I also want to add that when Mery and Angel were dating, and since he was a merchant marine, when the ship docked in Havana, he would come to my house so I could take him to Mariel.
I could go on talking a lot about Mery's life, but I want to add something very important and that is the names of the family members that we have loved and that we are inseparable until God says when we separate; as now he has happened with Mery.
As I said before, I'm going to start with NORA, who were one person; Mirian, Gladys, Robertico: unfortunately I tell you the real part of Mery, and I don't want to leave my wife Raquel, who spoke on face time two or three times a week. including me a few times when she was at home.
I want before ending this conversation; to say that Mery had the courage, driven by her love for the people she loved and those who loved her, to say goodbye to us and that she loved us and we would take care of her.
Goodbye Mery and we will always remember you.
