Maria Teresa Casillas (Lorenzo)'s Obituary
Maria Teresa Casillas, 82, died Sunday June 3, 2018, surrounded by her family in Tampa, FL.
Born March 17, 1936 in Caguas, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Eduardo Casillas and the late Innocencia Nuñez.
Maria is survived by her son Edwin Roque and longtime girlfriend Maria Barrios, Her daughter Maribel Gonzalez and husband Humberto Gonzalez, and their sister Marsha Roque Kelly; Grandchildren Dawn Sofranko, Edwin Roque, Amanda Vidal, Heather Hensley, Jason Maldonado, Gregori Gonzalez, Devin Gonzalez, and Antonio Roque; Great Grandchildren Lily Sofranko, Ryan Sofranko, and Edwin Carmelo Roque; Sisters Carmen Colon, Tonia Torres, Annie Masa, Marta Casillas; Brother Lucas Casillas; and many Nieces and Nephews. Maria is preceded in death by her sons Mario Maldonado and Eugene Roque; Sisters Lydia Casillas and Maria Santiago, and Brothers Raul Casillas and Freddy Casillas.
The family will receive friends on Friday June 8, 2018 from 6-8 p.m., at Boza & Roel Funeral Home located at 4730 N. Armenia Ave. Tampa, FL 33603. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 10 am at the funeral home and a graveside service will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery located at 4207 E. Lake Ave. Tampa, FL 33610. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Maria Teresa’s life.
