Margaret Maria Torres' Obituary
Margaret Furia Torres, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away on April 19, 2021. Family was everything to Mom (a.k.a. Ma, Mama, Mamasita, and Mamushka) and she was happiest frequently celebrating birthdays or holidays in large or small gatherings with her beloved family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren knew they were adored and as she rained hugs and kisses upon them at hello and goodbye. The love of her life, Rodolfo “Rudy” Torres Jr., was also never far from her mind as she enjoyed the memories of their lifetime together. She was born and raised in Tampa and was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Felicia Furia, her brothers, Frank Furia Jr. and Manuel Furia, her sister, Josephine Furia, her nephew, Frank Furia III and her granddaughter Brandie Wetherington. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Jeanette Peterson (Mark), Cathy Wetherington, and Belinda Kaspar (Kurt), her grandchildren Samantha Peterson, Travis Wetherington, Wesley Wetherington, Alexis Kaspar, Kurt Kaspar Jr., Erica Kerr, and her great grandchildren Brandon, Alexandria, and Emma.
Services will be held at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with masks and distancing requirements on Saturday May 1st at 10:00 a.m.
