Mr. Manuel Manny' A. Machin's Obituary
Machin, Manuel 'Manny' A., 50, loving husband, father and son, passed away October 6, 2008. He is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart Carina, children, Janelle and Marcus, parents, Manuel and Zenia Machin, sister, Zenia (Luis) Gallo, nephew, Dax (Sarah) Lonetto, in-laws Jose and Ana Rafols, brother-in-law Jose (Zoe) Rafols Jr., nieces Kelsey and Madison and amazing extended family and friends. Born in Havana, Cuba, Manny lived in Tampa from the age of 3 and graduated President of Jefferson High School Class of '75. He attended Florida State Univ., was President of Sigma Chi Fraternity and received his Juris Doctorate from Univ. of Florida. Manny was a prominent criminal defense attorney for 25 years and argued cases before the Supreme Court of Florida, which became precedent. His deep rooted sense of compassion radiated through his life and his work as he stood by his convictions and advocated for the underdog. Manny's passions were spending time with his family, vacationing, entertaining friends for the FSU/UF game at his lake house and life's finer things. Manny was the patriarch of his family and an inspiration to many. He is loved dearly and will be forever missed. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at Boza & Roel funeral home located at 4730 N Armenia Avenue where a prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 am at Boza & Roel with burial to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
