Mr. Manuel Manny Furia's Obituary
FURIA, Manuel 'Manny', 77, beloved accordionist and piano man, died on August 4, 2008 in Tampa. Manny had been a musician for 73, years beginning at 8 years old. He toured with a group known as 'The Foursome' and he and the other band members owned the 'Foursome Club' in Tampa. He has been entertaining at Bern's Steak House since 1967 and Manny was loved by his family, friends and those he entertained. Survivors include his brother, Frank Furia, Jr., sisters, Josephine Furia and Margaret Torres, nephew, Frank Furia III, nieces, Jeanette Peterson, Cathy Wetherington and Belinda Kaspar (Goddaughter) and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1001 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL 33629. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
