Mrs. Mamie Ferlita Suszynski's Obituary
Mamie Ferlita Suszynski, 86, of Tampa died on October 25, 2008. She was the2003 Woman of the Year by the Women's Auxiliary of the Optimists Club, and also as one of five Women of Excellence by the Italian Club in 2007. She also starred in a live radio show in the 40's on WFLA radio. She is survived by second husband, Sal Scalfani; two sisters, Mary Provenzano of Tampa , Helen Capitano of Metarie, Louisiana; sons, Frank (Lynette) of Tampa, John (Karen) of Jefferson Hills, PA, Angelo (Lindy) of Brandon; grandchildren, Jennifer Lyn (Jon) DeMayo, Nicholas (Jill), Julia Domenica, Virginia Louise Suszynski and a great- granddaughter Domenica Marie DeMayo. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 29 at 12 noon at Christ the King Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 10:30 to 12 noon. Entombment will follow at the Italian Club Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to Jesuit High School or the Italian Club Cemetery.
