M Jean Gilbert's Obituary
GILBERT, M. Jean, 90, of Tampa, FL, passed away November 13th, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Thomas C. Graham and Leah Stone Graham; brother, Thomas S. Graham; and daughter, Debbie L. Milligan. Jean was born in Gainesville, FL. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Judge John M. Gilbert. They met in the 1st grade at Dade City Elementary. This bond continued in devotion and love with joyful adventures around the world, where they met new friends and enjoyed humorous events and tales, of which are still told today. Jean’s joy in life was her family, whom she loved unconditionally and deeply. She is survived by her daughters, Kimbra Gilbert-Valdes (Tom Schultz) and Pamela Stokes (Rick); son, John W. Gilbert (Rhonda); five grandchildren, Leah Negron (Robert), Erin Leonard, David Valdes, John T. Gilbert and Jenna Gilbert; great-grandchild, Marley Negron; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place from 6-8:00pm, Friday, November 17th at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home. Jean’s ashes will be interred at the Gilbert family plot in Dade City, FL in a private burial service just a few blocks from where their 1st grade meeting took place.
