Lydia Mildred Rivera's Obituary
Lydia Mildred Rivera, 78, died Thursday, October 22, 2020, with family by her side. She was born October 9, 1942 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Basilio Reyes and Maria Casillas. Lydia moved to Lorain, Ohio at the age of 16 with her husband Rev. Jesus Rivera. Lydia was a dedicated wife, and mother to eight children. She was also very involved in pastoral church activities. She graduated from Christian Seminary school in Lorain, Ohio. She loved drawing, gardening, traveling, singing and most of all her family and God. She is predeceased by her husband Rev. Jesus Rivera; son, Jesse Rivera and daughter, Noemi Rivera. She is survived by her daughters; Lydia E. Rivera, Ruth Rivera Velez (Luis), Luz Virginia Rivera (Gary), sons; Rev. Benaias Rivera, Emilio Rivera, and Moises Rivera (Lisa). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is loved and missed by all.
