Luisa Nora Garcia's Obituary
GARCIA, Luisa Nora, 78, passed away September 16, 2015. She was born in Cuba on January 31, 1937 to Luis Vazquez Merino and Francisca Alvarez Gonzalez. Luisa and her husband Rafa sold produce to Tampa area Bodegas and were the first produce sellers at FunLand Flea Market on Hillsborough and 22nd. She retired as the Custodial Crew Leader at Maniscalco Elementary School in Lutz where she had worked since it opened. Luisa is predeceased by Aniceto "Rafa" Garcia, her husband of over 51 years and Evelyn Garcia, her only daughter. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren; Nicole E. Acosta (Charlie Ray Escobar, Sr.), Ricky Williams, Cierra Noralyn White, Daniella Francesca White, great grandchildren Charlie Ray Escobar, Jr. and Evealyse Nicole Escobar, siblings Jose Antonio Balddriche Alvarez and Josefa Balddriche Alvarez, extended family including Pearl Williams and numerous friends. A visitation will be held 6 –8 p.m., Monday September 21, 2015 with a funeral service conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Boza and Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N Armenia Avenue, Tampa. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Garden of Memories.
