I have many fond memories of my Uncle Luis. He was always very welcoming to my family and me. I can still remember enjoying music and movies, driving around, eating pizza and visiting amusement parks with him as a child. I had the pleasure of visiting a salsa club with him in NYC as well as travelling with him to his homeland of Peru. Later as adults, I knew him and appreciated him when we had a meal, a drink, and/or a smoke together and had good conversations. This man served the country and was hard working and dedicated to his family. He raised three wonderful people in his children. I am sorry that his life became more difficult toward the end due to illness. He was fortunate to have Aunt Edith and his family to assist him as well as the Veteran’s hospice in the end stage. It was a joy having him as an uncle and knowing him. He will always be remembered as a dear family member. Rest in Peace Tio. See you on the other side.
