Louis O. Pasetti's Obituary
PASETTI, Louis O., D.D.S passed away on February 10, 2015 at the age of 98, having lived a long and wonderful life. Louis was a life-long resident of Tampa, born to Joseph and Carmen Pasetti in 1916. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Mendez Pasetti. He graduated from Jesuit High School and the University of Florida. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emery University in 1941 and practiced dentistry in Tampa for over 50 years. He served in WWII in the China-Burma-India theater as a dental surgeon and was honorable discharged with the rank of Captain in 1946. Throughout his life, he received numerous awards including the 1982 Florida Dentist of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996, from the Florida State Academy of General Dentistry. He was a fellow in the International and the American Colleges of Dentists. He was a Mason for over 65 years, a charter member of the Krewe of Venus and for many years involved in the Civitan Club, serving as president of the Downtown chapter and Lt. Governor of Florida Civitan. Louis is survived by his daughter, Arleen Mariotti; son, Louis M. (Suzie); grandson, Lou; one great grandson; nephew Tony Espinosa (Magie); godchildren, Carolyn Bolduc (Jean) and Cynthia Centron (Tito); numerous loving cousins and friends. The family will receive friends for Visitation Friday, February 13, 2015 between 6 and 8 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Disabled American Veterans.
