Mr. Louis J. Agresta Sr.'s Obituary
AGRESTA Sr, Louis J 75 of Tampa, FL passed away July 19, 2008 in his home surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sandy, his son Louis Jr (wife Amy) and their 3 boys, Thomas, Elvis and Jake. His daughter Laura Reynolds, her husband (Mark) and their 2 children Caraline and Augustus, and Laura's son Carl who he helped raise. He was born December 24th 1932 to Carl and Geraldine Agresta in Cleveland, Oh and moved to Tampa in 1942. He graduated from Jesuit H.S of Tampa and immediately entered the U.S Army and retired after 28 years of service as Master Sergeant, he served with the 1186 Staging Station, Battery C, 105 Howitzer group, 3rd Army Reserve Blue Team Pistol and finishing his duties with the 32nd Transportation Company, also serving as Motor Cycle Motor Cade for President Eisenhower, at Ft Benning GA. He was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Tampa and an avid adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America, receiving his Silver Beaver award, his Vigil honor with the order of the arrow and 3 bead Wood Badge. He was also one of the original parishioners of St Lawrence Catholic Church. He is now at peace and has gone to enjoy the cookies. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. with recitation of the Catholic Wake service at 6:30 pm. A funeral Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Msgr. Laurence Higgins, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories with military honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Life Path Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.
