Linda L. Jordan's Obituary
Linda Lee Jordan, aged 77, of Tampa, Florida, died at Melech Hospice House, Tampa Florida, on December 1, 2024, after a long-fought battle with cancer.
She was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island to Donald Peter Adams and Lillian Palin. She grew up the youngest of four children, raised by a single mother. She chose to leave school early to enter the workforce and assist her family financially.
On August 9, 1968, she married George E. Jordan III, who predeceased her by only four short months. The two were married for just short of 55 years. She is survived by her two children: Michael Jordan of Billings, Montana and Kimberly Jordan Hersey of Tampa, Florida; five grandsons: Adam, Nicholas, Luke, Caleb and Daniel; two great granddaughters: Lilith and Carmela; and her beloved niece, Rhonda Uribe of Central Falls, Rhode Island.
Linda was known by friends and family as someone you could always depend on. She was an outstanding cook and baker—she loved that everyone enjoyed her cakes or desserts. She worked hard, sacrificed for her family and supported her husband throughout his military service and follow-on careers. For most of her adult life, she worked in restaurants or retail. After she retired, she continued to volunteer weekly in her community.
The last four years she resided at the Assisted Living community of Allegro Hyde Park in Tampa where she enjoyed support, community and closer proximity to family. She looked forward to attending Hyde Park United Methodist Church weekly where she grew spiritually.
A viewing and funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 4:30pm at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa Fl 33603.
