Lena Saitta Chenard's Obituary
CHENARD, Lena Saitta, 94, died Tuesday at home surrounded by family. Born in Ybor City and lifelong resident of Tampa she was predeceased by her beloved husband Armando (Tony) Chenard. Lena is survived by her sister Josephine Samuel, three daughters, Judy Ann Guevara (William), who provided the most loving care for the past 8 years, Norma Chenard and Carlotta Arias (Celestino); eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Lena was best remembered as Nana Lena when she worked at Jefferson High School for 22 years. Before that she worked at Maas Brothers on Gandy and at Tropical Garment. Lena attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was a member of Sons of Italy. She loved bingo and dancing. Pallbearers are: Daniel Perez, Armando Garcia III, Leonel Guevara, Danton Sierra, Jr., Borys De Jesus Puentes and William Fischer. Honorary pallbearers are: William Guevara, Celestino Arias, Jimmy Fischer, Vincent Lopez, Jr. and Frank Arcuri. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL. Entombment will follow in Colon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Judy and family wish to give special mention to Jeannette Tamborello, niece/guardian, for her continual support, and to the medical professionals who gave above and beyond in care and support these past eight years; Dr. David Eschelbacher and staff, Dr. Pierre Leger, Nurse on Call, Penny Barnett, RN, Elizabeth Belmonte, CNA and Taty Campos.
