Lee William Glasser's Obituary
Lee Glasser, age 60, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on January 10, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1965, in Ashland, Ohio, to Jacob William “Bill” Glasser and Constance “Connie” Sapyta.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Melanie Kell Glasser; his children, Kira King (Arthur), Ysabel, and Elijah; his cherished grandchildren, Piper, Peyton, and Paxton, and siblings, Sheli Dunn (Kevin), David Glasser (Jenny), and Tiffany Caldararo (John). He is also survived by his stepmother, Julia Glasser and many other beloved family members and dear friends.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Lee passed away surrounded by love. He was known for his boundless energy and deep passion for helping others, no matter the time or the cost. Lee loved the outdoors—especially fishing, boating, and grilling. Alongside his wife, Melanie, he enjoyed Italian cappuccinos, tending their rose garden, and traveling together to Italy and the Cayman Islands.
Lee shared his love of music with his children and especially treasured listening to his daughter sing at Mass and his son play the guitar. FaceTiming with his grandchildren and receiving tours of their backyard farm were treasured moments for Lee. Through countless small acts of kindness, Lee touched the farthest corners of the lives around him, and anyone who walked into his home was instantly made to feel like family.
A devout Catholic, Lee offered up his suffering for others, even when it reached unimaginable levels—a testament to his unwavering faith and selflessness.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate nurses, doctors, and caregivers at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their exceptional care, kindness, and support during Lee’s illness. Their dedication brought comfort and peace to both Lee and his family during his final days and will always be remembered with heartfelt appreciation.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida.
