I was there the afternoon Kim and Rick landed the huge Anna Maria tarpon that won the Sarasota Tarpon tournament. She was a gamer and always ready to do battle with these giant brutes. She always had a warm smile and great joke whenever I'd see her. God Bless.
My cousin Kimmie as I called her, reconnected in 1995 at a family reunion in St. Mary’s, WV, where my dad and Kim’s family grew up.
We picked up where we left off as kids.
We fished The Big Rock a few times, we worked together in raising money for Eckert. Kim guided me on how to start the annual event in Charlotte, NC, Sharing With Shoes. Kim cheered me on every year at the number of new shoes we collected for the over 4,000 children in Charlotte who were in a homeless crisis.
I learned valuable skills watching Kim. She asked good questions and would engage others.
We did have some very good laughs together mainly over our antics as kids.
I will miss you Kimmie Wagner who lived on Barkeill Street in that precious place we both loved called St. Mary’s, West By God Virginia.
I loved you. Rest In Peace.

Sympathy to Kim's family. She was a integral part of the community here in Carteret County while residing here. Her brilliance, strength, leadership and guidance were appreciated by all with whom she came in contact. She'll be missed but always recalled with great fondness. Rest easy, my friend....
