Mr. Julio W. Anton's Obituary
ANTON, Julio "Willie," 93, passed away March 15, 2009. He was born on July 6, 1915, in Tampa, FL, to the late Silverio and Maria Anton. Willie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lydia, his children Geraldine (Nelson) Mongiovi, Dr. William (Jean) Anton and Glenda Midili, his grandchildren Nelson (Josie) Mongiovi, John Mongiovi, Dr. Stephen Anton, Christina Anton Esq., Dr. Alison (Chris) Midili Smith, Ashley (Mike) Floyd, and seven great grandchildren. Three brothers, Joe, Edward and Richard Anton; four sisters, Jessie Mitchell, Carmen Wright and Rose Lopez preceded Willie in death. Willie was a WWII Veteran having served as a finance officer in the Army of the United States. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and served as deacon, church elder and treasurer at St. John's Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends for Visitation Thursday, March 19, 2009 between 10 and 12 noon at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Services will be at 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home followed by Interment at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park.
