Josephine Furia's Obituary
Josephine Furia, loved by all who knew her, passed away on February 7, 2021 at the age of 85. She was born and raised in Tampa, loved to dance, and bicycled throughout the city to visit family and dear friends. Josephine was the epitome of kindness, devotion to others, beauty, and lovely manners. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Felicia Furia, her brothers, Frank Furia Jr. and Manuel Furia, her nephew, Frank Furia III and her grandniece Brandie Wetherington. Left to cherish her memory are her loving sister Margaret Torres (who also recently passed away on April 19, 2021), her nieces Jeanette Peterson (Mark), Cathy Wetherington, and Belinda Kaspar (Kurt), her grandnephews Travis Wetherington, Wesley Wetherington, Kurt Kaspar Jr., her grandnieces, Samantha Peterson, Alexis Kaspar, and Erica Kerr, her great grandnephew Brandon, and her great grand nieces, Alexandria, and Emma. Loving care and companionship in the last several years by Irene Soto and Becky Mason was very precious and so appreciated.
Services will be held at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with masks and distancing requirements on Saturday May 1st at 10:00 a.m.
