Josephine Barone's Obituary
Josephine Barone, born on St. Patrick’s Day in 1929, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
Born in Tampa to Italian and Spanish immigrant parents, Josephine was a proud first-generation American who carried with her the traditions and values of her heritage. She was the heart and soul of her family, always putting the needs of her loved ones first and ensuring that home was a place filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her home-cooked meals.
She was the devoted wife of the late Sam Barone with whom she built a beautiful life and family. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Anthony, Richard, and Maria, instilling in them the same strength, kindness, and unwavering love that defined her.
Josephine’s love extended far beyond her children. She was a cherished Nana to Gina, Jason, Chris, Zack, and Kim, and an adored Bada-Nana to A. J., Michael, Lexi, Davie, Ryan, Gemma, Samantha, and Jeremy. Her presence was a constant source of wisdom, encouragement, and joy, and she will be remembered for her warm hugs, gentle words, and the countless moments of love she shared with those around her.
Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Josephine’s love and legacy will continue to shine through her family, in the traditions she passed down and in the countless lives she touched with her kindness.
A service to honor and celebrate Josephine’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5th. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and the funeral service at 11:00am, at Boza and Roel Funeral Home. Rest in peace, Josephine. You will be forever missed and forever loved.
