Joseph Midulla's Obituary
Joseph Midulla, 93 passed away on Sunday Nov. 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Lena and Tom Midulla, his wife Carmen Spoto Midulla his eldest son Joseph Midulla Jr. and his grandson Anthony Joseph Midulla. He was born and raised in Tampa and graduated from Jefferson High School. He later married the love of his life Carmen. They were married for 69 years. Joe was a loving and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and cherished friend.
Joe enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War and served in Japan for a year and a half. Carmen never failed to write him twice a day. Joe worked with his brother-in-law, Sam in the transmission business for many years and had an incredible work ethic. He was considered one of the best transmission rebuilders in the state He later worked for Wilkes & Mchugh alongside his cousin Bennie Lazzara until Joe turned 92. Joe was always very active in physical fitness. Boxing as a young man, lifting weights, running and later years walking. He was very adament about staying active throughout his life. He said that was the key to longevity. He had a love for his pets especially his dog Blondie, who was his companion in later years. Joe was a geniune loving, caring family man who always put his family first. To know Joe was to feel his warmth, affectionate ways and always his kindness.
He leaves behind his son Chris Midulla, Tim Midulla his wife Roxanne, Tiffani Midulla, Shayna Midulla Byrne and husband Josh, Jimmy Midulla and wife Marta, James, Amber, Christopher, his great grandchild Joseph, his sister Nora Lamb, sister-in-law Dolly Mortellaro, brother-in-law Jack Lamb and many nieces and nephews.
