Joseph Samuel DiCorte's Obituary
Joseph Samuel DiCorte, 54 of Tampa, Florida passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on July 4, 2018. He was a very loving husband, son, but most of all, an extremely devoted father to his one and only child Samantha Claire DiCorte.
Joseph is survived by his wife Rebecca A. DiCorte. His daughter, Samantha DiCorte. Mother, Felicia Telese White. Father, Samuel H. DiCorte Sr. wife and second mom to Joe Glenda DiCorte. Brother, Dr. Samuel H. DiCorte Jr. and wife Ema DiCorte their son Samuel H. DiCorte III. Joe’s sister, Dr. Dana Prieto, husband Alexander G. Prieto and their two sons, Alexander G. Prieto II,and Sebastian C. Prieto; and his nephew who was like a son, Jack White,III. Also survived by mother-in-law, Ann Hamilton; sister-in-law: Alicia Martinez; husband Elvin Martinez, Jr.; their children:Joe's nieces and nephew; Lauren, Logan and Lourdes Martinez.
Joe attended Palm Beach Gardens High School. He is a graduate of Florida State University with a major in History. He was an avid history buff. He could recall events, dates and stories in much detail. He worked in sales most of his life but his passion was sports, mostly football. He worked with Gene Deckerhoff at FSU for 18 years as a statistician for Florida State Football. For the past 5 years or more, He also worked with Gene for all home Buccaneer games as a spotter.
Joe had a personality that was larger than life. He was witty, loving and intelligent. He is survived by many friends and extended family members that will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends Monday, July 9, 2018, 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 10,
2018 , at 10:30 AM, with burial to follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
