Joseph C. Castellana's Obituary
Castellana Sr., Joseph C.
79, of Tampa, FL passed away tranquilly Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born in West Tampa, attended Jefferson High School, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. We were blessed to know a truly beautiful man, always humble and kind. “Big Joe” played baseball in his younger years and enjoyed watching his Yankees. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends, whether home or traveling to his favorite destinations. He is preceded in death by parents Sam and Margaret, and brother James (Nancy). He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 amazing years, Sonia, his sons Joseph Jr. and John (Melissa), his grandchildren Christina and August, and his nieces and nephew. Joe was a grandfather to many, who called him “Nano Joe”. As his favorite singer Alan Jackson said, "We won't be sad, we'll be glad for all the life we've had... and we'll remember when." A mass will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4th.
