Jose Severo Cifuentes' Obituary
José Severo Cifuentes, 92, a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL passed away of natural causes on October 6th, 2017. He was born on December 5th, 1924 to Severo and Maria del Carmen Cifuentes. José served in the United States Army during World War II and fought in the Invasion of Normandy and The Battle of the Bulge. He possessed a tireless work ethic and shared a family with his loving wife. He is preceded in death by his son in law The late Patrick Alonso. José is survived by his wife of 68 years, Matha Cifuentes, daughter Elena Alonso, son Jose (Sherry) Cifuentes Jr., 5 grand children; Patrick Alonso, Jose Cifuentes III, Krista Ann Bonds, Macy Kendrick, Jerry Revels, and 5 great grandchildren. José was a true Renaissance man and the embodiment of the greatest generation of American history. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday November 7th, at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd in St Petersburg, FL 33708.
