Mr. Jose Eduardo Betta-Hernandez's Obituary
BETTA-HERNANDEZ, Jose Eduardo, of Tampa, passed away January 29, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. A native of Havana, Cuba, and long time resident of Tampa, Florida, he was a devout Catholic and dedicated son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a tailor of fine men's clothing in Havana and the Tampa Bay area for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe Betta; mother, Zoila Hernandez; and wife, Ada Marina Betta.. He is survived by his loving daughters, Ada Juliana Silva of Tampa and Ileana Betta of Bethlehem, PA; son-in-law, Amaro D. Silva and grandchildren, Marlene Zoila Silva, Alejandro David Silva and fiancee Lisa D'Ascanio, Jorge Luis Lopez, Jr., and Jeanette Lina Lopez "Nachi". He will be missed by his family and friends and especially his grandchildren who affectionately called him, "Abuelito". A Funeral Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (Cherry St. & Gomez Ave.) with Rev. Fr. Felix Sanchez, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will gather to receive friends on Monday from 7PM to 9PM with recitation of the Catholic Wake Rite at 7:30PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL.
