John George Wick's Obituary
WICK, John Wick, John, 82, of Tampa passed away peacefully on April 21, 2012 at St Joseph Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty and their children, Philip and Kimberly. He is also survived by his children Mary Joy Betch, Bobbi Jo Meislohn, Timothy Wick, John Paul Wick, Mark Wick, Christopher Wick and Lori Wojciechowski. He was born in Baltimore Maryland on February 2, 1930 to Peter and Barbara Wick. He spent 28 years in the US Army serving multiple combat tours in Korea and Viet Nam. Upon returning he joined the Tampa Police Department in 1973. He was their armor and weapons instructor- expert for 23 years. When illness forced his retirement he became a volunteer at St Joseph Hospital. John was very dedicated to any of his interests and he was a man of honor, humor and strong family values. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home located at 4730 N Armenia Ave from 6-8 pm. Memorial services will be held on Friday at St Lawrence Catholic Church at 10 am.
