Thomas, Sr., John Phillip, 80, of Tampa (Ybor City), passed away May 9, 2017. John was a life long resident of Tampa and Ybor City native where he met the love of his life, Aurora. Owner of John's Auto Repair and Admiral of his beloved Walleye II. He was an amazing family man with an unbelievable amount of friends who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his niece Brenda Police. John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Aurora; sons, John “Cookie” (Tina), John Derek (Doreen), John “Kiki” (Carrie); daughter, Lorri (Tony); grandchildren, Trig (Kate), Anthony (Kelly), Lexi (Mike), Lynsi (Ricky), Kaitlyn, Johnny, Austin, and Danielle; great grandchildren, Lola, Khloe, Ellie, Anthony Jr., Michael, Olivia, and Izaiah; and nephew, Troy Thomas. The family will receive friends 6p-8p, Saturday, May, 13, 2017 at Boza & Roel Chapel. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations in John's memory to LiFT Academy, liftacademy.org
