John Scardino Pellegrino's Obituary
PELLEGRINO, John Scardino, 90, of Tampa passed into the arms of our Lord on April 21, 2011 peacefully surrounded by a loving family. He is preceded in death by 1 brother, 3 sisters, and his son, Victor J Pellegrino. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and recipient of the purple heart. He was a plastering contractor, he worked at Jai Alai and his favorite pastimes were playing beautiful music on his mandolin and cooking for family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mimi; his daughters, Diane Guerra (JD), Irene Matye (Brian); his grandchildren, Dana Gonzalez (Frank), Jason Guerra (Sheila), Stephanie Sweeney (Dave), Victor and John Pellegrino; nine great-granddaughters, his sister, Martha Perez and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Boza & Roel funeral home located at 4730 N Armenia Ave from 6-8 pm with a wake service at 7 pm . Funeral services will be on Friday at 10 am at St Paul's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
