I was very saddened to recently learn of John's passing. I served with John in the Air Force at Eglin AFB, Fla. twice. The first time from 1972-74 and the second time in 1977-78. John was my boss in Aircraft Maintenance Control and a finer boss was not to be found anywhere. John could be hard but he was fair. He expected your best and was always available to help you attain that goal with mentoring and guidance. He had a great sense of humor at work and was always quick with a laugh. He was loved by all his coworkers and often was sought out for advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of subjects. More than loved, John was respected for making sure that things were done right, no matter what it was. John will forever have a treasured place in my memories. R.I.P. John. Forever friends.
