John Atholl Houchins, III, 69, of Tampa passed away Thursday, March,28, 2019. He was born September 23, 1949 in Beckley, WV to John Atholl Houchins and Naomi Houchins.
John was a long time employee of GTE (now Verizon/Frontier).
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Houchins, his son, John Houchins IV, his Mother, Naomi Wallace and his sister, Suzanne Houchins.
He is preceded in death by his Father, John Houchins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of John A. Houchins, III are suggested to: The Humane Society or the SPCA.
Memorial Services for John A. Houchins, III will be held at a later date and will be a private ceremony for the family.
John was a Vietnam Veteran who was awarded two Purple Heart medals and a Bronze Star with Valor. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
