John was my best friend in high school at HB PLANT 1972-1975 and my best man in my wedding June 1978. We both enjoyed “our cars” and driving our Corvette’s to the Bay Area Corvette Club meetings, auto cross events and car shows around Florida. We spent many days at the Beach House in Indian Shores sailing the HOBIE 16 in the Gulf of Mexico. I remember the days of the Model A, helping his father build the Bede BD-5 plane, flying in the Hot Air Balloon with JB,Sr and being part of his Chase Crew. I have many fond memories of the days of our youth and am blessed to have had such a good friend as John. Over the last year, I was able to re-connect with John and enjoy his company over lunches at his condo and dinners at the “original Outback Steakhouse.” Still a “car guy” at heart he enjoyed his new TESLA Plaid. He continually egged me on to race him at Sunshine Dragstrip so he could “beat” my new CORVETTE C-8. Well, that challenge race never happened. Thanks for the memories, friend!
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26
See you on the other side.
This man was an inspiration to me and my family. Mostly my two sons.
First he was my first "boss".. first real job at JB Hickey Rentall...Secondly he was a Friend.
Growing up with John was a gift for us all. He might not have know everything... But I sure thought he did.
Helped me paint my first car, flew balloons, sailed boats, traveled and laughed together.
My two sons know a lot more about the right things to do. Thanks to you John. Always willing to help at any time.
You will truly be missed Sir.

I grew up with him and shared many a sport and parental parties. He loved music and was crazy wild about orginal comedy. I water skied the lake with him at Mary Help of Christians and helped him and joe minardi, spinelli restore a 57 chevy in his parents driveway. Super fisherman and natural athlete. Born to give to others. RIP Ed Pedrero
