Mr. Joe Clemente Jr.'s Obituary
CLEMENTE, Jr., Joe, 100, Tampa native, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008. He worked as a Cigar Maker, Manager of the Henry Clay Shoe Store, Building Contractor, and owned and operated the Mayflower Motel in Tampa. He worked for the US government during the Second World War at Drew Field AFB in Tampa as a Post Engineer. His passions included fishing, gardening and music. He spoke five languages fluently. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Annie Romanello Clemente. He is survived by his daughter, Sarina Wilson and son Joe (Angie) Clemente III; three grandchildren, Rhoda Soriano, David (Grace) Strelser and Gerald (Sheryl) Clemente, Sr. and five great-grandchildren, Samantha Soriano, Rachel and Jacob Strelser, Shari and Gerald Clemente, Jr. The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation and Service Saturday, August 30, 2008 between 1 and 3 p.m. at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa.
