With unimaginable sorrow, we announce the passing of Joannely Marrero Cruz, a woman whose presence brought light, warmth, and hope to all who knew her.
Joannely was born in Manati, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1986, the beloved youngest daughter of Joanne and Eliazar, and the cherished sister of Johanna and Eliazar (Tito). From an early age, she carried within her a rare brightness—an energy that drew people in and made them feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.
She was the devoted wife of Jose, the love of her life, with whom she built a bond rooted in deep love, respect, and unwavering partnership. Together, they dreamed of a future filled with family, laughter, and purpose—a future that, though cut short, was already rich in love.
Joannely began her legal career in Puerto Rico, guided by a profound sense of justice and compassion. She later made Tampa her home, where she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to immigration law. For nearly three years, she stood as an advocate for the vulnerable, offering protection, guidance, and hope to those seeking safety and a better life in the United States. Her work was not just a profession—it was her calling. She changed lives, uplifted families, and gave voice to those who needed it most.
To know Joannely was to feel joy. She was the light in every room, the laughter in every gathering, and the comfort in every storm. Her kindness was effortless, her friendship unwavering, and her love abundant. She was an extraordinary daughter, a loyal sister, a true friend, and a devoted wife.
Joannely was also on the brink of one of the most beautiful chapters of her life—motherhood. She would have been an incredible mother, full of tenderness, strength, and endless love. Though she did not get the chance to hold her child, that love already lived within her—pure, deep, and everlasting.
On April 18, 2026, Joannely’s life was tragically cut short. Yet even in her absence, her love does not fade. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched, every family she helped protect, and every heart she filled with joy.
She leaves behind a world that is quieter without her laughter, but forever better because she was here.
Joannely Marrero Cruz will never be forgotten. Her light will continue to shine—in memory, in love, and in the countless lives she changed.

Con un dolor inimaginable, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Joannely Marrero Cruz, una mujer cuya presencia llenaba de luz, calidez y esperanza a todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.
Joannely nació en Manatí, Puerto Rico, el 10 de enero de 1986, siendo la hija menor de Joanne y Eliazar, y la querida hermana de Johanna y Eliazar (Tito). Desde temprana edad, llevaba dentro de sí una luz especial—una energía que atraía a los demás y los hacía sentirse vistos, valorados y profundamente amados.
Fue la esposa devota de José, el amor de su vida, con quien construyó una relación basada en un amor profundo, respeto y una conexión inquebrantable. Juntos soñaban con un futuro lleno de familia, risas y propósito—un futuro que, aunque fue interrumpido demasiado pronto, ya estaba lleno de amor.
Joannely comenzó su carrera legal en Puerto Rico, guiada por un profundo sentido de justicia y compasión. Más adelante hizo de Tampa su hogar, donde se dedicó por completo al derecho de inmigración. Durante casi tres años, fue una defensora de los más vulnerables, brindando protección, orientación y esperanza a quienes buscaban seguridad y una mejor vida en los Estados Unidos. Su trabajo no era solo una profesión, era su vocación. Cambió vidas, levantó familias y dio voz a quienes más lo necesitaban.
Conocer a Joannely era sentir alegría. Era la luz en cada lugar, la risa en cada reunión y el consuelo en medio de la tormenta. Su bondad era natural, su amistad inquebrantable y su amor abundante. Fue una hija extraordinaria, una hermana leal, una amiga verdadera y una esposa profundamente entregada.
Joannely también estaba a punto de comenzar uno de los capítulos más hermosos de su vida: la maternidad. Habría sido una madre increíble, llena de ternura, fortaleza y amor infinito. Aunque no tuvo la oportunidad de sostener a su hijo en sus brazos, ese amor ya vivía en ella—puro, profundo y eterno.
El 18 de abril de 2026, su vida fue truncada de manera trágica. Sin embargo, incluso en su ausencia, su amor no se desvanece. Su legado vive en cada vida que tocó, en cada familia que ayudó a proteger y en cada corazón que llenó de alegría.
Deja un mundo más silencioso sin su risa, pero para siempre mejor porque ella existió.
Joannely Marrero Cruz nunca será olvidada. Su luz seguirá brillando en nuestros recuerdos, en nuestro amor y en las innumerables vidas que transformó.
