Jennie D Settecasi's Obituary
Jennie D. Settecasi, 91 of Tampa passed away following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s on October 1. Jennie was born on July 1, 1930. She was a proud graduate of Jefferson High School. Jennie spent her career as a dental assistant and secretary to a local plumbing company.
Jennie was a big fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays. She loved spending time in the kitchen and was known for her devil crabs, socket-to-me-cake, lasagna, ice tea and many Italian recipes. Every month she was joined by her long time friend Pauline Zambito and several of her close girlfriends for lunch dates. One lunch date even included a limousine ride to Indian Rocks Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Lily, husband Frank, sister Gloria (Robert), brothers Domingo Jr (Jeannie) and Joe (Star).
Jennie is survived by her loving children Frank (Deborah) and Diane (JR), granddaughter Jennifer, great granddaughter Lissette, brothers Sam (Vivian), Angelo (Sue), sister Arlene (Steve), daughter-in-law Vertie, sister-in-law Helen, brother-in-law Robert along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. She was also godmother to many and loved by all.
A funeral service will be held at Boza and Roel on Wednesday, October 6 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors an hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00.
