Posey, Jay's Obituary
Posey, Jay, 52 of Kissimmee passed away at home on May 29, 2026 after a short and hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jay was born on July 21, 1973 in Tampa to Fred and Margaret Posey. He attended Leto High school in Tampa. He was a truck driver for 27 years with the last 23 years being in the Fire Protection field. On July 4th, 1999, Jay married the love of his life, Melissa (McKnight).
Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret, brother Scott and mother-in-law, Philomena (McKnight).
He is survived by his wife, Melissa, daughter Amber, brother Robert (Donna), sister Lisa Dolente (Keith), sister Tammy, and other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Services will be on June 13th at 1pm, Garden of Memories Tampa. To honor Jay and his love of the Tennessee Volunteers we will be having an orange and white theme service, if you’d like to participate. There will be a BBQ catered reception to follow.
