Mrs. Janice Helene (Marcom) Pardo's Obituary
Janice Helene (Marcom) Pardo, Jan Pardo passed peacefully at home on July 7, 2015. Her strength and positive nature took her through a long journey with cancer. Jan was born in Van Wert, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents J. Willard and Emma (Yo) Marcom. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Vince J. Pardo, children, Vince (Enzo) A. Pardo (Maria), Jonna M. Woodard, Gregory L. Woodard (Kim), grandchildren, Elisabeth Woodard, Natalee Woodard, Mia Pardo, Stella Pardo, Vincenzo A. Pardo and sister Judy Schmitt (Richard). The family would like to thank Jan’s loving friend and caregiver Molly Hough, Moffitt Cancer Center and the Hospice team for their excellent care. Jan was a member of the Greater Tampa Women’s Club, The Italian Club of Tampa and a past member and volunteer of several community service organizations. Many organizations have benefited from Jan’s love of helping those in need. There are band members wearing new uniforms with the help of Jan; there are homeless drinking their morning coffee with the help of Jan; there are numerous children who will remember the wonderful stories Jan read to them when she volunteered at local schools. She loved books, was a member of “The Friends of the Library” and supported their “book stores”. She was not a joiner, but a “behind the scenes” person. THE BUTTERFLY HAS FLOWN! In honor of Jan’s wishes, no service will be held. The family requests no flowers, however, contributions may be made to Lifepath Hospice (12470 Telecom Dr. #300 W, Temple Terrace, FL 33637) or the Italian Club Building and Cultural Trust Fund (1731 E. 7th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605) in her honor.
