James E Miller's Obituary
James Edward Miller of Tampa, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
James served 20 years as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Major. He began his military career with a direct commission as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force. During his military service he received several medals and awards including the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal while assigned as Special Staff Officer to the Commander Fifth U.S. Army, and the Bronze Star for meritorious service. Upon retiring from the U.S. Air Force, James taught Industrial Arts for 16 years in the Hillsborough County School District. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Doris; daughters and son-in-laws Deborah and David Bray, Barbara and Martin Mesecke, son Randal Miller; grandchildren Ashley and Trent Cox (husband), Laura Mesecke, Emily Bray, James Bray, Bailey Miller, Emery Miller. James was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be so missed by all those who knew and loved him dearly. He will be interred at the Bay Pines National Cemetery.
