James V. Cavaleri's Obituary
Cavaleri, James, 90, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was born April 23, 1922 in Ybor City. After graduating from Hillsborough High School in 1940, he joined the Navy and served overseas in World War II. He retired in 1984 after 26 years of service with the American National Insurance Company. He joined the La Nuova Sicilia Unita Lodge in 1974 and served as lodge president as well as holding several positions with the lodge at the state level. He had a passion for his family and life and was a faithful Florida Gator fan. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Josephine, daughter Charleen Corbett (Rick), son Tom Cavaleri (Yong), grandchildren, Ryan Corbett (Arianne), Justin Corbett, Jeff Bailey (Angela); great grandchildren, Adeline, Leila, Christopher, Michael and Jeffrey. The Family will receive friends for Visitation Tuesday, May 15, 2012 between 7 and 9 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Services will be Wednesday, May 16 at 10 AM at the Funeral Home followed by Entombment at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
