Isabel F Gonzalez's Obituary
Isabel Gonzalez, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Friday, June 16, 2017. To many she was Lela or Tita, she was always doing for or thinking of others. She was a lifelong member of St. Johns Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and Bible study leader for many years. Isabel loved to volunteer in Ruskin helping feed migrant workers. She was a fabulous cook, loved to garden and sew. All who knew her at one point would have “force feed” the some of the best food you’d ever eaten! She is survived by; her loving husband of 76 years Armando, 74 years a mother to her son Ronald Gonzalez Sr., daughter Janel (Mark) Derrah and foster son Charles Smith; 53 years a grandmother to Richard (Latisha) Gonzalez, Ronald Gonzalez Jr, Robert Gonzalez, Bryan (Beverly) Derrah, Lindsay (Jason) Lopez, Barbara Rosenberg, Donna Gonzalez and Carol Strait; 29 years a great grandmother to Kaleigh (Justin) Lamar, Jordan Gonzalez, Julian, Trent and Ashlyn Derrah, Mia and Cruz Lopez, Julia and Brody Gonzalez, Melissa Dunn and Kim Velez; and 7 years a great-great grandmother to Emily Lamar, Sebastian Gonzalez, and Josiah Pino.
