Inez Marie Alvarez's Obituary
Inez Marie Alvarez, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 7, 2024. Born on April 8, 1941, in Tampa, she was the daughter of Johnnie and Nardina Saladino Lopez. Inez was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Chris, and her parents.
Inez, third generation born and raised in Tampa, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School where she met the love of her life, Chris, and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School in 1959. Her home was filled with laughter and love of family and friends. Inez leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness . She is survived by her children, Kimberly Lynn Perez (Marc), Joseph Chris Alvarez “J.C.” (Kristina), and Kristine Marie Wilson (Scott), her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Kendall, Maria Kristina, Tre, and Stella, along with many extended family and friends.
Those serving as pallbearers are: Mike Traina, Frank James Traina, Frank Traina, Craig Perez, Gary Saladino, Wes Adwell, Jason Fernandez, Derek Alvarez, and Douglas Alvarez. Honorary pallbearers include: Dennis Alvarez, Manny Alvare, Frank Fernandez, John Ambrose, Tony Traina, Frank Vacanti, and Eddie Garcia. Visitation will take place at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N Armenia Ave Tampa, FL 33603 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 5- 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3012 W Cherry Street, Tampa, FL 33607 on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10 am. Following the service, Inez will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, 3412 N Ola Ave Tampa, FL 33603.
Our family would like to extend sincere gratitude to her devoted caregivers Maria and Julia who were like family to her, and to St Joseph’s Hospital North Physicians and ICU nursing who gave impeccable care to our mother in her time of need. We are especially grateful to Dr Lawrence Wong, MD and the Davita Carrollwood Dialysis Center for the care given to Inez. In loving memory of Inez Alvarez, the family kindly requests charitable donations be made to Children’s Cancer Center.
