Ibis Delgado's Obituary
On July 5th 2021, Ibis Delgado received her well deserved wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 79 years old.
Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on May 29,1942. She was the Daughter of Fernando & Ibis Roman. She moved to NY in 1956 where she did exceptionally well in school this is evident by recently uncovered report cards. She eventually became a Registered Nurse and ultimately a 'Head Nurse' overseeing several nurses and evaluating different health cases. She was involved in many different civic and community activities including but not limited to different NYC Parades, Talent shows and Galas. Ibis was loved person by so many people. Her battle with serious medical issues in the last 15 years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile and a positive demeanor. Despite the pain, she forged forward and would not allow any illness bring her down.
Anyone who knew her knows that she was a such a caring soul, always dedicated to her church and family. She is preceded in death by two of her children, Rachel & Emeric. She leaves behind a plethora of friends and is survived by her Husband Eduardo, Son Eddie, Daughter in law Debbie, Sister Linda and grandsons Ricky & Eric.
A visitation and viewing will be held at Grace Family Church (Land O Lakes campus) from to 11 pm.- 2pm It will be followed by a family & Friends gathering at her home.
